Lana Garcia is a Graphic Designer/ Character illustrator from Central Virginia

Ever since I was little, i’ve been inspired by multiple childhood favorite cartoons that were provided for my entertain-ment. A lot of what my art consists of leads back to several favorite characters and stories that I have fondly remembered over the years. My parents also encouraged me to grow my passion for art through the years, but up until my senior year of high school, I didn’t know that my passion would be come my vocation. My specialty is character design and story telling. I wish to use this gift for making children’s books and clean animations for families to watch together. Most of these illustrations and animations will have a 80s, 90s, early 2000s feel to them bringing back a warm wave of nostalgia. Just recently, I have realized that nostalgia was a very present inspiration in all of my art, personal and with some professional projects. As a Christian, I believe that certain things shouldn’t belong in children’s entertainment. Using my own convictions and faith based storytelling, I’d love to be able to provide families with a clean safe outlet for their little ones. In the future, I look forward to carrying out this mission and having fun doing it.
